Throughout the year, the society conducts a number of tours open to people of all ages designed to bring Huntington’s history to life. Tours are open to families as well as scout and other groups!
Van Wyck-Lefferts Tide MillThe mill was built in 1795 and is the only surviving mill in Huntington. After a short boat ride, enjoy a tour of this fabulous structure.

Huntington ArsenalTour the Job Sammis House, known as the Arsenal, located on the old Town Green, and used to hide ammunition during the British occupation of Long Island.

Conklin HouseTour of the Conklin Family farmhouse dating from 1750 which houses historical artifacts and is decorated to illustrate three periods of the country’s history: Colonial, Federal and Victorian.

Kissam HouseTour of the Daniel Kissam House, built in 1795 on one of the original home-lots that faced the old Town Green, and considered one of the most outstanding three-quarter plan houses on Long Island.

Soldiers and Sailors BuildingThe Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building was completed in 1892 as a memorial to the 40 townsmen who died in the Civil War, and was used as the town library until 1958. We display society exhibits here throughout the year.
