Looking for fun, exciting and educational programs for your children during the school breaks? The Huntington Historical Society offers a summer camp and various school break programs.
Passport to the Past Summer Camp
Our summer camp is an extremely popular program offered for two separate morning sessions at our Kissam House Museum and Barn. Children enjoy and participate in traditional colonial tasks such as weaving, candle making, embroidery, and churning butter. Campers also take part in a variety of old fashioned games and activities while learning about the Kissam Family and the everyday lives of the people who first settled in this historic area of the Village Green. |
School Break ProgramsDuring February school break, we usually offer a number of special programs during the week. Our offerings change each year, so be sure to view the current year’s offerings. Past programs have included “Tea Time with Dolly and Me,” “Kid’s Quilting Class,” “Colonial Craftsman,” and “Colonial Spies.” |
The Education programs of the Huntington Historical Society are generously supported by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
