Happy holidays from the Huntington Historical Society! Our dedicated, staff, trustees and volunteers wish you a happy and healthy season and new year and thank you for your support of our ongoing preservation and education efforts.
As we look ahead to America’s milestone 250th anniversary, we want to inform you of some important preservation work at our Dr. Daniel Kissam Property. In 1972, the circa 1790 Rogers barn was rescued from demolition and donated to the Huntington Historical Society. Since then, the barn has served our organization well and stood as one of our prized sites. Now, after 50 years of harsh weather conditions and aging materials, the barn’s façade is in desperate need of repair. Our staff has worked tirelessly to plan this important restoration project. Upon its completion, we look forward to the Kissam Barn serving as our new center of education and collaborative community programming for the 250th anniversary of America and beyond!
Thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation to the Huntington Historical Society. Those donating $100 or greater will be entered in our raffle for a $150 gift card to Jonathan’s Restaurant.
