It
couldn’t have been better. A warm summer night under the stars and a full
moon. Delicious food, wonderful beverages and an extraordinary selection of
raffle and silent auction items. We also enjoyed the companionship of
like-minded friends who value the contributions of the Huntington Historical
Society to the quality of life in their community.
Claudia Fortunato, the chairperson of
the affair and our Director of Operations, welcomed everyone and thanked them
for participating. Toby Kissam, our Executive Coordinator, introduced our
honorees and told of their many contributions to Huntington and the Historical
Society. Our president Carl Lawrence then paid
tribute to the anniversary of
9.11 by having everyone stand and sing “God Bless America.”
