Sleds played an important roll in our
recreational history
The sled exhibit had on display many different
types
of sleds and sleighs from the Huntington Historical Society's collection.
They ranged from children's recreational sleds to horse-drawn sleighs and
cutters which were were used for transportation in the winter. Also on
display were sleds which were used between 1907 and1915 for adult
competition sled races on Main Street in Huntington.
