The Silent Auction

The items, shown below, are being auctioned off at the 2008 Heritage Antiques Show at Huntington.  The procedure for the silent auction is given below the auction items.

Explanation of the Silent Auction
Bidding will take place over the two day show with the bidding closing at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Bidders can enter bids in set increments above the highest bid.  The historical Society will execute "left" bids at the necessary level.  In other words, if an individual wants to "leave" a bid of $800 on an item that has a current bid of $400 with $50 increments, the Society will bid $450 for that person.  If a second individual bids $500 on the item, the Society will bid $550 for the first individual using the "left" bid of $800, and so forth.
Each item will have an attractive starting bid.
