Come Celebrate Your Historic Moment
At Our Historic House
|
The Huntington Historical Society
offers two of its historic properties to rent for your important
affairs. They are ideal for Baby/Bridal Showers, Birthdays,
Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Weddings, Engagement Parties, Rehearsal Dinners,
Retirement Parties, Anniversaries, Lectures and the like. |
 |
For smaller affairs, up
to 50 people, we rent the Conklin Barn
year round. The barn is climate controlled so it is comfortable in
any season. It has a handicapped accessible rest room and it comes with all necessary
tables and chairs. You would arrange for your own food
preparation, off site. |
|
For larger
affairs, up to 200+ people, we rent the Kissam lawn which is
appropriate for affairs May through October. The property comes with a
fully equipped kitchen. By special arrangement, the
Dr. Daniel W. Kissam House Museum can be opened
for continuous tours. The Society
Evening of Wine Under the Stars is held there each year, in Mid
September, and has become our most successful event. |
 |
|
The Society has contacts with all
necessary vendors and can help to make your planning as easy as
possible. Caterers, Tents (We use an 80 foot by 40 foot
tent plus other large tents for the Wine Tasting), Tables, Chairs,
Linens, Porta Potties with running water, Photographers, Music Groups,
Insurance and Dumpsters. Also, the
Society can help with obtaining permits from the Health Department and
Fire Marshal. These ensure that you will have a perfectly safe
affair.
