The Photograph Collection is extensive

The Huntington Historical Society maintains an extensive collection of old photographs which documents the progression of the town from the late 19th through the 20th century.

The photograph collection creates a visual history of the Town of Huntington, containing over 250,000 images documenting places, people, and events.  The bulk of the collection dates from  1900 to 1930 and is arranged by subject and location.  It may be accessed with the assistance of the archivist.  The images are in a variety of negative and print formats, 35mm slides and postcards.

Among the local photographers highlighted are Ben Conklin, Robert Stone, Lyman Taft, and Harvey Weber.

To obtain prints from the collection please contact the archives regarding reproduction and use costs.
