The Trustees, the Board of Directors, and staff of the Huntington Historical Society would like to pay tribute to our friend and colleague, Educator Dale Reed, who recently passed away.  We are greatly saddened and will miss her enormously.  Our hearts go out to her family.

Dale brought joy and enthusiasm to everything she did, as well as inspiration to all she came in contact with.

“Dale was young at heart.  She was just a lot of fun,” said docent Joann Alario-Paulsen.

“Her constant interest in learning new information, and her imaginative flair for disseminating it to students and in our children’s summer program, Passport To The Past, was remarkable,” said co-worker Cathi Horowitz.
"Dale interacted so easily with students, co-workers, volunteers, and student volunteers, alike. "

“I’m so glad I got to meet Dale – she loved life, she loved working with the children, and the children loved her,” said docent Monica Manner.

Dale’s partner in the Education program, Carlene Granieri, said “Dale’s presence lit up every room.  The light is lost.”

Dale’s work at the Huntington Historical Society gave her tremendous joy and satisfaction.  Because of this, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Dale’s memory to the Huntington Historical Society.
